Stuart Finley has been performing magic and entertaining audiences for over 25 years. His magic has been performed at grand openings, corporations, trade shows, restaurants, banquets, award dinners, political fund raisers, television, schools, shopping malls and other types of special events. His magic has amazed children, adults, movie stars and political figures throughout the United States.
He uses innovative presentations and audience participation to create magical memories for his audiences. He has designed performances and props to promote corporate messages.
Stuart success as a magician includes many once in a lifetime performances such as performing magic in-flight on a Boeing 747 for Braniff Airline or in the Windows on the World restaurant which was located at the top floors (106th and 107th) of the North Tower of the World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan, New York.
Stuart success as a magician has been assisted by magicians he has met or worked with which includes: Mark Wilson, John Calvert, Harry Blackstone Jr., Slydini, Shimada, Tom Ogden, Max Maven, Al Cohen, The Amazing Randi, David Copperfield, Tim Starr and Del Ray: The Greatest Magician You’ve Never Heard Of!
Stuart success as a magician and entertainer continued as he was selected to be a regular performer at the Great Foodini restaurant where he worked with the Amazing Randi and at the Hayloft Dinner Theater with William Christopher, Father Francis Mulcahy of M*A*S*H. He was also selected to work with Harry Blackstone Jr. and NABISCO with their “Oreo…Unlock the Magic!” promotion.
Stuart is a master at creating balloon animals and balloon sculptures. His balloon animals have been enjoyed in restaurants, at festivals, in shopping malls and at birthday celebrations by the young and the young at heart.
In 1982, Stuart wrote Hot Stuff, a book for magicians. This book contained tricks and effects that he created and designed. The book was sold and distributed by Al’s Magic in Washington, DC and is currently out of print.
Stuart was elected and served a one year term as President of Ring 50 of the International Brotherhood of Magicians from 1994 to 1995. In 2005, Stuart was inducted into the Order of Merlin of the International Brotherhood of Magician at their annual international magic convention which was held in Cleveland, Ohio. One of the highest honors bestowed by the International Brotherhood of Magicians, the Order of Merlin, is awarded to veteran performers and is a special award to recognize members with 25 uninterrupted years of service. The International Brotherhood of Magicians with approximately 15,000 members worldwide admits fewer than 2% of their membership annually to the elite group of the Order of Merlin.
Stuart has two sons and currently lives in Virginia with his wife.
